This is my first journal club meeting, To better understand Phytohormone signaling and Plant Development. Studies show that Auxin as one of the major Phytohormones plays a role in controlling lateral root development. I have chosen this paper which represents a novel mechanism that causes suppression of auxin signaling in lateral root development during abiotic stress. It is interesting to know about CPR5 (CONSTITUTIVE EXPRESSION OF PATHOGENESIS-RELATED GENES 5) expression on auxin signaling (AUX/IAA12 and IAA19) under abiotic stress conditions.
